Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has landed a new endorsement deal.
Mahomes has encapsulated NFL fans with his incredible play on the field, but there are also plenty of people interested in the person, including his unique hairstyle. Kids throughout the Kansas City area go into their local barbershop and ask for “The Mahomes.”
It only makes sense from a brand perspective for Mahomes to team up with a hair product like Head & Shoulders. On Tuesday, the shampoo brand revealed a new commercial which announced Mahomes as their newest spokesperson. He joins Troy Polamalu, who has been with the brand for many years and also appears in the new commercial
These to may have never got the chance to go head-to-head on the gridiron, but they’re getting a chance to go head-to-head in another way now. Take a look:
The two argue about whether Head & Shoulders is a great offense of great defense and it spirals out of control. I personally love the part when Mahomes has to get a little handheld fan to make his hair wiggle. At the conclusion of the commercial, together they debut a new slogan, “Offense for great hair, defense against flakes.”
Mahomes is quickly becoming the most marketable player in the NFL. From Mahomes Magic Crunch cereal to Head & Shoulders, Chiefs fans should get used to seeing him take over the airwaves on both a local and national level. This is only just the beginning for Mahomes.
