Watch: Parents of J.R. Reed caught on camera celebrating scoop and score, discuss afterwards

Last week, in Georgia’s 63-17 win over Murray State, UGA safety J.R. Reed recorded his second collegiate touchdown when he scooped up a fumble deep in enemy territory and ran it in for a 14 yard score.

Georgia fans erupted with joy following the exciting defensive touchdown, and joining in that celebration were Reed’s parents, Vinita and Jake, who Bulldog Game Day caught on camera following the play.

Afterwards, Vinita discussed the play.

Vinita might be my new favorite UGA mom after seeing that video. Reed’s father Jake, on the other hand, knows a thing or two about scoring touchdowns of his own. He played in the NFL for 12 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints. Reed ranks No. 141 on the NFL’s all-time receiving yard list with 6,999. He scored 36 touchdowns throughout his career.
