Panthers wide receiver Chris Hogan is another good player to watch in tonight’s preseason game. It’s a bit of a homecoming for him, as he faces his old team, the Patriots. Watch Hogan catch up with his former teammate Julian Edelman during warmups.
Hogan spent the last three seasons of his career in New England and was low-key productive, averaging four touchdowns and around 500 receiving yards per year.
He also had a brief reunion with his former quarterback.
As for Edelman, he’s taken over the old Wes Welker role and done about as well as Welker did. Since he became a regular starter five seasons ago, Edelman has averaged 935.2 yards and over five touchdowns per year. He was one of few standouts in a brutal Super Bowl game (10 catches, 141 yards) and won the MVP award.
