Eric Reid, on his emotions heading back to SF this week: “Bitter? I wouldn’t call it bitter. I just don’t forget.”
Also said he would not call this a “revenge” game, just that he is “determined.”

The concept of revenge games always tends to get a bit blown out of proportion. Sometimes, there’s something to it. This week might be one of those cases. Watch Panthers safety Eric Reid talk about facing his former team, the 49ers. Reid says he’s not bitter but he is determined to play them and feels he was asked to play out of position.

Reid played the first five seasons of his career in San Francisco, starting 69 of 70 games. He was a Pro Bowler as a rookie and totaled 10 interceptions, 34 pass breakups and 264 solo tackles with the 49ers.

Since signing with the Panthers the first month of 2018, Reid has been an indispensable part of their secondary.
