Nobody said Will Grier would come into the NFL and be a superstar right away. If they did, they were wrong. The rookie quarterback’s brutal 2019 preseason seems to keep getting worse every week.
Here Grier misreads the defense and displays poor ball security, leading to a fumble and an easy touchdown for the Steelers defense.
Grier has also thrown two pretty gnarly interceptions so far this preseason, including a pick-six.
It hasn’t all been terrible for Grier, though. Prior to that turnover he was actually leading a pretty promising drive.
Nevertheless, Pittsburgh leads 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
