Heading into the 2019 NFL draft, the Panthers’ top priority on defense had to be improving their pass rush. Carolina checked that box right away, taking Florida State defensive end Brian Burns in the first round. Burns will make an excellent addition to the Panthers’ edge rotation and should help boost their sack totals this year.
