Cam Newton has generated an entire cottage industry of bad takes. From accusations that he’s selfish, lazy or my new personal favorite, “fragile,” there seems to be no end to the wildly off-base takes you’ll hear about Newton’s game and personality.
Those who watch him every week know better. On the field, he’s a serious competitor and possibly the most underrated quarterback in the league right now, at least according to the guys who have to defend him.
As for his character, Cam’s teammates can attest to that.
