WATCH: Panthers Cam Newton sets Guinness world record for one-handed catches

Add “world record holder” to Cam Newton’s long list of football accolades.

Thanks to a video posted on the Panthers quarterback’s YouTube channel this week, we now know that he got his name in the Guinness Book of World Records back in July.

He teamed up with YouTube’s MrBeast team at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte to set the mark for one-handed catches made in 60 seconds. Browns receiver Jarvis Landry held the previous record of 48, which he set with former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn on Super Bowl Sunday this year.

Newton was the receiver in this situation, catching 51 balls within 60 seconds to set the new record. He also participated in setting two other records, one for the longest catch between the legs (39 yards) and the longest pass to a blindfolded, moving target (24 yards).
