WATCH: Packers rookie QB Manny Wilkins hurdles a defender during preseason finale

Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback Manny Wilkins might have delivered the top highlight of Thursday night’s preseason finale at Lambeau Field.

The former Arizona State star showed off his impressive hops by hurdling over a would-be tackler in the fourth quarter, gaining a first down on the run and setting up the Packers’ go-ahead touchdown.

Chiefs rookie cornerback Mark Fields went down to get in position for the tackle and Wilkins, who hit 33″ on the vertical leap at Arizona State’s pro day in March, instinctively hurdled right over him.

An undrafted free agent, Wilkins has operated as the team’s fourth quarterback throughout camp and the preseason. He could have a shot at landing on the practice squad, especially if the Packers only keep two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.

The Packers lead the Chiefs in the fourth quarter, 27-20. If nothing else, fans can be thankful that Wilkins’ touchdown drive is likely to avoid the threat of overtime in a preseason finale.
