WATCH: Packers rookie OLB Rashan Gary whips Texans LT Matt Kalil

Either the Green Bay Packers drafted a quality edge rusher or it’s the same old story at left tackle for the Houston Texans.

During the second day of joint training camp practices between the two clubs Tuesday, rookie outside linebacker Rashan Gary beat Texans veteran left tackle Matt Kalil in one-on-one drills.

It could be a case of the No. 12 overall pick from Michigan being really good, as Gary also whipped Texans rookie offensive tackle Max Scharping, according to reports.

According to Packers Wire’s Zach Kruse, this is not the only time this week Kalil has been on the receiving end of some punishment, as the former Minnesota Viking and Carolina Panther has been struggling in the joint practices.

Kalil took out his frustrations near the end of practice and got into a scuffle with outside linebacker Zadarius Smith, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson.

Kalil has been the left tackle for the Texans throughout training camp. The club has used rookie first-round tackle Tytus Howard at guard to break him in and get him used to the speed of the NFL. Nonetheless, it appears the Texans may not have any better options at left tackle.
