How to lament the bittersweet melancholy of a love lost in a pop video? Outfit’s latest, premiered below, captures a moment of reflection following a particularly poignant dream via the mystery of monochrome, twins and a room packed with mirrors.
“It’s about a dream where you see the person you love living another life, an alternate reality without you in it,” says the band’s Andrew P Hunt.
“You’re walking down the street and you look through a window and see them surrounded by other things, other people and suddenly they’re different and you’re different. It’s about something uncanny completely flipping your perspective.”
Framed is the centrepiece of the Liverpool collective’s second album Slowness, out now via Memphis Industries. Below is the video, directed by Sam and Andrew of Studio Zongo. Let us know what you make of it.
