Outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus continues to be a force on the Houston Texans defense.
The 29-year-old got a strip-sack of Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen that defensive end Carlos Watkins recovered and gave the Texans an optimistic drive inside Carolina’s territory.
The strip is Mercilus’ fourth forced fumble of the season, the most for a Texans defender through the first four games of the season, tying defensive end J.J. Watt’s mark set in 2018.
