The Oklahoma Sooners are becoming a quarterback factory, and a highly touted prospect just committed to play in Norman in 2021. The Sooners boast back-to-back Heisman Trophy winners and back-to-back first overall picks in the NFL Draft, and they bring in the best QB in the class of 2019 – but are expected to start former Alabama National Championship Jalen Hurts instead this fall.
The Sooners do not currently have a quarterback in the 2020 recruiting class, but Lincoln Riley snagged a commitment for the 2021 class Thursday. Five-star recruit Brock Vandagriff tweeted that he is committed to the Sooners and the 6′ 2.5″, 200-pound QB quickly got the nod of approval from both Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield. Now, things are looking as stable and as bright as ever for the future of the QB room in Norman.
