WATCH: Ohio State’s mascot Brutus drill four-of-five 50-yard field goals

Can a college mascot sign a deal in the NFL?

Well, if it’s possible, Brutus, Ohio State’s mascot, should automatically crack any team’s roster. As video has it, Brutus drilled four field goals in just five attempts.

Brutus’ four-of-five field goal makes from 50-plus yards is better than most kicker’s career field goal percentage — albeit without any resistance or game pressure. After all, the Buckeyes have had just one kicker in the last two decades that has kicked over 80% for his career in Columbus.

That was Mike Nugent, one of the most notorious Ohio State kickers to ever come through the college. Now, Brutus, or the person commanding him, is looking more than adequate thank you very much.

Here’s the video of Brutus’ impressive kicking.

This is significantly harder than most think. A 50-yard field goal would have to be a former kicker, current kicker or maybe a soccer player. Either way, it’s wildly impressive.
