Aqib Talib made headlines a few years ago when he ripped the chain off of Michael Crabtree’s neck during a brawl between the Broncos and Raiders. He did it again when they met a second time, earning the reputation of being a chain-snatcher.
Odell Beckham Jr. knew who he was going up against on Sunday night when the Browns and Rams squared off, and he made sure to keep his neck free of any jewelry.
During the game, he told a mic’d-up Talib that he didn’t wear his chain because of the corner’s reputation. Talib got a kick out of the comment and laughed it off, unsurprisingly.
Talib and the Rams held Beckham to just six catches for 56 yards on nine targets, which was an impressive performance. Los Angeles got the win, too, knocking off the Browns in dramatic fashion, 20-13 – a rare low-scoring game for the Rams.
