Watch: Obo Okoronkwo shares key advice with high school players

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is entering the most important season of his career, needing to step up after three disappointing seasons with the Rams. He’s struggled to stay healthy, but when he has been on the field, he’s shown flashes of ability, particularly with his killer spin counter.

Having spent three years in the NFL, he’s gained valuable experience when it comes to learning how to prepare as a pro and maintaining his body. He’s leaner and quicker than he was coming out of college, though he still plays at around 240 pounds.

At a recent camp for high school players, Okoronkwo shared valuable insight with guys getting ready for the fall season. He told them to find something they’re great at and hone in on that skill, rather than trying to do too much.

“Hone in on your craft. Whatever you’re good at, maximize that and let it take you somewhere,” he told them.
