Watch: Nitish Reddy's 'meaty' back-to-back sixes off leggie Rishad Hossain

NEW DELHI: Rising star Nitish Reddy showcased his power-hitting abilities in his second international match with two consecutive mighty sixes off leg-spinner Rishad Hossain in the second T20I against Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Reddy, known for his aggressive strokeplay, came in early after India lost two wickets at the score of 25.

Reddy, who made his T20 debut in the previous match, took some time to settle down as he scored 13 runs off the first 13 balls with the help of a lone boundary, but soon changed his gears as he scored 37 runs in the next 14 balls, which included 2 fours and four sixes, racing away to his maiden fifty.

Reddy targetted Hossain in particular as he spotted his deliveries early. The incident happened in the 10th over when Reddy hit two back-to-back meaty blows off the leg-spinner.

The first six was a powerful loft as Reddy tonked it over the bowler's head, clearing the boundary with ease, while in the second he got down on one leg to hit it over deep mid-wicket, landing deep into the stands. His clean and effortless striking stunned the bowler, as the crowd erupted in applause.

These meaty blows added valuable runs to the total and shifted momentum in the team's favour, highlighting Reddy's ability to take on spin with confidence and authority.
