WATCH: NFL hands Jets LB Brandon Copeland a four-game suspension

The New York Jets’ defensive front took another hit Wednesday when the NFL handed linebacker Brandon Copeland a four-game suspension.

Copeland’s ban is for violating the NFL’s Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.

The suspension puts Copeland on the sideline a week after the Jets lost their leading tackler from 2018 for the season. Avery Williamson tore his ACL on Aug. 15 and will not suit up this year as he recovers.

Copeland recorded 14 quarterback hits last season with five sacks. He started 10 games in 2018 and appeared in 16 contests. This season, Copeland was expected to start for the Jets at outside linebacker.
