Watch: New documentary from Irish Extinction Rebellion activists showcases the dangers of climate change and what you can do to help

A new documentary titled 'Rebel Or Die' from Irish environmental activists explains the real challenges we face today regarding our planet's deterioration.

The short documentary from climate activists Extinction Rebellion urges Ireland to take to the streets on October 7th and put pressure on governments across the world to act on climate change.

The film was shot by Irish videographer Hannah McGlynn, from filmmakers Collective Dublin, who spent months working on the project which hopes to gather momentum for the upcoming protest.

The event will last for seven days in capital cities across the world in an attempt to put pressure on governments using the 'Civil Obedience model'.

The model is a tactic that has been used throughout history in protest movements led by the likes of Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi.

The 'October Rebellion' week is part of a planned series of protests taking place in more than 60 cities around the world including Paris, New York, Buenos Aires and London.

Extinction Rebellion says that in the long term climate change, global overheating and rising sea levels will have far more disastrous impacts on Irish society and the economy than Brexit.

This fresh push for change comes after 16-year-old activist Greta Thunberg's climate change protests around the world which saw millions of schoolchildren take to the streets.
