The Kansas City Chiefs welcomed three new players to the kingdom on Day 2.
Each player received a unique call from the team to inform them that they’d been selected. The Chiefs captured, and shared these moments when they made the call on social media. Check out those first few moments when they find out they’ll join an NFL team.
Georgia WR Mecole Hardman:
Andy Reid cracks me up, not only does he look like he’s about to go to a backyard BBQ, but he’s talking shop with the kid:
“We’re going to wear you out man. Those deep balls. Those deep balls, right?”
Virginia DB Juan Thornhill:
Everyone who spoke with Thornhill seemed to be taken aback by the noise in the background. It’s almost like he just got drafted into the NFL or something.
Western Illinois DT Khalen Saunders:
I really like those words from Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo:
“The only way you can play good defense in this league is to have big people inside. You’re one of those big guys we’ve been looking at so I’m happy we got you.”
