Celtic boss Neil Lennon admits he has warned his players not to make the same mistakes as their Aberdeen counterparts.
Eight Aberdeen players have been forced into self-isolation after attending a pub on Saturday night, with two players testing positive for COVID-19.
Scottish footballers were given special dispensation to return to training and games and Lennon revealed he's told his Celtic players they need to stick to football and going home.
He revealed that some of his players have been to restaurants - and adhered to social distancing - but reckons that will need to stop amid warnings from Nicola Sturgeon that she will shut football down again in the event of further transgressions.
The Celtic gaffer spoke at length about the incident as he refused to put any blame on the Dons players despite their mistake.
He said: "It's obviously a very unfortunate incident and there's serious ramifications for the game. So it's just a reminder to all the players and staff that we have to be on our guard and follow the protocols the right way.
"It's very disappointing obviously, disappointing for Aberdeen as a club and obviously now St Johnstone, now the game has been called off.
"We made them aware again this morning, when the lockdown was eased I think a lot more people were relaxed about things but we have to be so careful.
"It's a very fine line so they've been reminded now that they really can't go out and socialise or open ourselves up to any sort of finger-pointing.
"It's basically a question of 'training ground, home, games, training ground, home, games'.
"And unfortunately that's the way it's got to be until things get better.
"I know a few of them have been out in restaurants and adhering to the protocols of said establishments.
"But after what's happened now then we're going to have to nip all that in the bud.
"I have sympathy for a lot of the boys, they've had the whole lockdown, two or three months with no football.
"But now if you want to extend the season then you're going to have to follow really strict guidelines and probably go back to the way it was before in terms of training ground, home, probably walk to the shop to get your amenities then go home again."
Lennon has also revealed that Leigh Griffiths will miss Sunday's game against Kilmarnock with a calf injury.
The striker had been out of the team because of poor fitness issues but Lennon revealed he picked up a knock while also providing an update on Greg Taylor.
He said: "Greg Taylor is still a little bit ginger on the ankle but he trained today so he should be fine.
"Griff is still unavailable so we’ll have to see where he is for next week. He’s got a calf strain."
