Watch Neil Lennon's Celtic press conference in full as he tackles the Rangers change he's dead against

Neil Lennon insists it's a shame there will be a reduced Rangers allocation at Parkhead for this Sunday's Glasgow derby.

The Light Blues cut the number of Celtic supporters attending Ibrox from 7,500 to 800 last season, with the Parkhead club also reciprocating.

But the Hoops boss is firmly against the decision and thinks to have less away fans is detrimental to the great 'spectacle'.

He said: "I don't like it. i think it takes a little bit away, but it's not of our doing obviously.

"But we're at home so we want to maximise that numerical advantage off the pitch and hopefully that will give us an extra push and extra incentive on the pitch.

"I just think it takes a little bit away when you don't have more away support in either ground. For example, the win at Ibrox we only had a few hundred and small section to support us at the away end and I think a lot of fans are missing out on a great spectacle because of this."

The Hoops are five points ahead of Steven Gerrard's men at the top of the Premiership albeit having played a game more.

And Lennon insists it is a joy to be Celtic manager with his side in this rich vein of form as they prepare to host their rivals.

He added: "They are a brilliant bunch.

"It's not been ideal to have a few important players out through injury and we have had to rejig things a little bit, but now slowly but surely we get a full complement of players back at a really good time.

"Probably for some of them a bit too late because we are going into the break. But for this game it is great to have a really strong squad

"We keep the training sharp, keep it intense, the fitness levels are good and they look after themselves really well.

"And their mentality is absolutely excellent. They play the game - and it is a difficult thing to do - the way people will perceive the proper way. Great pace in the team, players who excite you, three players at least in double figures already the season which is a great return.

"The midfield been really strong, all season, the two centre-halves have a great partnership.

"We've got a great goalkeeper and players you can score at any time from any position, so it's a sum of all parts and it's a joy for me to be in this position at the minute."
