Watch Neal Ardley's exclusive tribute to Notts County fans as he thanks them for support

Neal Ardley has paid tribute to the city's community and Notts County fans for rallying during the club's crisis this summer.

In an exclusive message for Nottinghamshire Live, the Magpies boss says their help was an inspiration as the club faced an uncertain future as a result of serious financial problems.

Supporters, businesses and Nottingham Forest fans all rallied to help collect money for staff who went unpaid for two months until the club was bought by brothers Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz at the end of July.

Now as a way of saying 'thank you', Notts have slashed ticket prices for their game against Fylde this weekend with adults able to gain entry to the game for just £3 with cheaper tickets on offer for other age brackets.

A bumper crowd is expected at Meadow Lane where Notts are looking to build on a fine 2-1 win at Boreham Wood on Tuesday night.

And Ardley says he would love to reward those in attendance with a win.

"We'd love to put a performance on and try to get a win," he said.

"Your support in the summer was fantastic."

Neal Ardley thanks the community.
