There were three big reasons for the Tennessee Titans’ offensive success in 2019: quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver A.J. Brown.
All three of those players had standout campaigns in their own right, and that has led Good Morning Football’s Nate Burleson to call them the best trio in the NFL.

Dating back to before the Titans’ run to the AFC Championship, Burleson has been a big fan of what the Titans are doing, so his support for the team’s trio comes as no surprise — and it’s just another reason why we love the man.
Henry led the NFL in rushing and rushing touchdowns during the regular season, and later carried the Titans on his back to two playoff wins.
Tannehill took over a 2-4 team in Week 7 and promptly went 7-3 en route to making the playoffs. He finished first in yards per completion and passer rating, and second in completion percentage. Tannehill capped off his incredible year by winning NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
As for Brown, he was arguably the league’s best rookie last season, despite finishing third in NFL Rookie of the Year voting. If nothing else, he was certainly the best first-year player at his position.
Brown broke the franchise record for most receiving yards in a single season by a rookie, and his 1,051 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns was tops among all NFL rookies.
His 20.2 yards per reception was second among all receivers and he was the first rookie in the Super Bowl era to record 20-plus yards per reception and 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
At the very least, the trio of Tannehill, Henry and Brown are in the conversation as one of the best in the NFL, and the trio is just another reason why the Titans shouldn’t be overlooked in 2020.
