Watch: Myles Garrett’s ‘Matrix’ movement impressive

There are a lot of descriptions of Myles Garrett’s play on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns top defender controlled the game by sacking Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields 4.5 times.

Garrett wasn’t alone in his play for the Browns defense. The team’s top five Pro Football Focus grades on that side of the ball were all very high. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah’s play deserved to be highlighted as the team’s top PFF performer.

Garrett, setting Cleveland’s single-game record for sacks, was in a world of his own. He took advantage of the aging Jason Peters at left tackle but attacked all parts of the porous Bears offensive line.

One move highlighted in video today shows the Browns freak athlete moving so quickly that it is compared to moves found in ‘The Matrix’ movie franchise:

Slowed down with screenshots, Garrett goes from one side of the left guard to the other with one step:

The move is so fast, it looks as if the film has been doctored or that Garrett teleported from one spot to the other.

There have been a lot of words used to describe the former #1 overall pick’s play on the field. We now get to add “Matrix-like” to that list.
