NEW DELHI: It was time for handshakes and hugs after a high-octane clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
Both the teams, both five-time champions, have plenty of star power and the match lived up to its expectations of a high-scoring entertaining contest.
Fierce rivals on the field but good friends off it, it is common for players of both the teams to walk into each other dressing rooms and exchange pleasantries.
One such meeting happened between MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah when the MI pace spearhead walked into the CSK dressing room to meet his former India captain after the match.
A viral video shows Dhoni and Bumrah standing alongside each other and getting pictures clicked from the pacer's phone.
Bumrah also shared a photo of himself and Dhoni on his official X handle with the caption: "Met Mahi bhai after so long, felt good to catch up!"
In the match, Rohit Sharma's eighth T20 century overall went in vain as Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians.
The India captain scored 105 not out off 63 balls but couldn't help his side reach the 207-run target, with Chennai winning by 20 runs.
MS Dhoni's 20 not out off the last four balls of Chennai's innings was the difference as the visitors scored 206/4 in 20 overs.
Mumbai could only reply with 186/6.
