Former India captain MS Dhoni, who was recently retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction later this month, attended the birthday celebration of presumably his gym partner -- a video clip of which has gone viral on social media.
The video shows Dhoni standing behind the birthday boy during a cake-cutting ceremony. He later enjoyed savouring the cake.
Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014 and announced his retirement from international cricket six years later in 2020. He, however, continues to play the IPL.
The CSK icon, christened 'thala' by his fans, is likely to feature in the 2025 edition of the IPL after his retention by the franchise. However, he is yet to provide that clarity with an official decision on his future in the cash-rich league.
