Former Celtic star Moussa Dembele returned to form in France as he grabbed a double in the cup.
The frontman has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea with reports in his homeland claiming he was the subject of a €40m bid from the English Premier League club.
Lyon are determined to hold onto him and issued a statement saying he wasn't for sale.
But he finally got back on the scoresheet for the first time since November with a brace against lower league side FBBP 01.
It was eight games without a goal for the striker before Saturday, but he showed his class with a great run and finish.
He then grabbed a second before the end of the first half before being replaced late on with the score at 4-0.
Martin Terrier, Maxwell Cornet and youngster Maxence Caqueret also scored in the 5-0 win.
Dembele left Celtic in 2018 to return to his homeland in a £20m move. They stand to make at least £4m from any future sale due to a sell-on clause.
