Video footage captures the moment a car engulfed by flames in Keynsham

Firefighters from Avon Fire and Rescue were quickly called to the fire on St Ladoc Road yesterday evening (May 31).

The footage of the fire shows the front of the car well alight with huge flames rising from it.

Crews from Hicks Gate Fire Station were in attendance and managed to extinguish the blaze.

A spokesperson for AFRS has said the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

The spokesperson said: "Crews from Hicks Gate fire station were called at 21:12 to reports of a fire on St Ladoc Road, Keynsham.

"On arrival, firefighters found a vehicle on fire.

"Firefighters used one breathing apparatus for safety, and one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"The cause is thought to be accidental."

Elsewhere, firefighters were also called to a major fire in south Bristol yesterday.

One man was taken to hospital.
