WATCH: Max Scherzer sports different-colored lens goggles to match his eyes

Goggles are an important baseball accessory this time of year. If you’re wearing a pair, that probably means you’re celebrating.

Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer took his look to the next level Tuesday night as he and his team sprayed champagne for an NL Wild Card berth, rocking one brown lens and one blue lens to match his different-colored eyes.

Yes, the blue lens is over his blue eye and the brown lens is over his brown eye. Genius.

Detroit fans may remember this look from 2012 when Scherzer helped the Tigers past the Oakland A’s in the ALDS. He pulled the goggles out again when Detroit swept the Yankees in the ALCS to reach the World Series.
