While LeBron James spent the weekend watching his son’s AAU games, another part of his legacy was playing out in Los Angeles. And it had nothing to do with the Lakers naming Frank Vogel to be the next head coach.
LeBron’s close friend and business partner Maverick Carter, who runs both UNINTERRUPTED and SpringHill Entertainment, was the commencement speaker this weekend for the USC Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism graduation ceremony. You can see Carter telling the graduates to chase their dreams.
Of course, the speech also doubled as a great advertising opportunity for both UNINTERRUPTED and SpringHill. Plenty of athletes have had successful ventures in business and media, but the rise of both of the entities Carter runs has been spectacular to behold.
While UNINTERRUPTED is producing shows and documentaries on a very regular basis, SpringHill’s crowning achievement will come later this summer when they begin filming for ‘Space Jam 2.’
