The Washington Nationals are the 2019 World Series Champions after starting the season 19-31. Now Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy is hoping the Nats’ story of overcoming a rough start is one that can inspire his team to do the same.
The Bears are 3-4.. which, by winning percentage is even better than Wednesday night’s world championship winners were at one point this sprint. Nagy explained that it was a no-brainer to use the World Series as motivation for his own team.
“How do you not show that to your guys and let them pull from that?,” Nagy said Thursday.
The Bears have lost three games in a row, separated by only the team’s bye week before the most recent two Ls. Up next, Chicago visits the Eagles (4-4) Sunday.
