As you can see above, Mark Dantonio was extremely excited by his team’s performance (that’s as excited as you will see Coach Dantonio), noting his appreciation of the energy that his team brought to the 51-17 win over Western Michigan University.
Dantonio specifically shouted out the play of Darrell Stewart Jr., Cody White, Brian Lewerke, and of course, running back Elijah Collins.
Of Collins, Dantonio said this:
“He is a very explosive player,” MSU coach Mark Dantonio said. “He just needs confidence. … Had a couple big ones, but he just needs to get in rhythm. And I think he did that tonight.”
Michigan State’s next test will be against Arizona State this Saturday. They are currently a 10.5-point favorite to win that game.
