WATCH: Mariners’ Tim Beckham suspended 80 games for PEDs

Tim Beckham’s season is done for the Seattle Mariners following an 80-game suspension by Major League Baseball. The utility man reportedly tested positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing drug banned by MLB.

In addition to the rest of this season, Beckham will miss about 30 games to start off the 2020 season as part of the suspension.

He appeared in 88 games for the Mariners this year, hitting .237 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI.

The MLB Player’s Association released a statement on Beckham’s behalf Tuesday, in which he claims he was given a product from a trusted source but that the product was tainted.
