Marcus Peters gave up a 67-yard touchdown to Mike Evans on an ugly play in coverage during the fourth quarter, allowing the Buccaneers to pull ahead 45-27. It looked like that might be the finishing blow for Los Angeles, but Peters made up for his blunder a little while later.
With less than nine minutes to play, Peters picked off Jameis Winston on third down and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown. It was exactly the type of play you’d come to expect from Peters, keeping the Rams in the game.
At the end of the play, Peters got crushed by Donovan Smith on the goal line.
As a result of that hit, Peters was evaluated for a concussion. Troy Hill took his place on the ensuing drive.
