Watch: Luke Woodhouse hits stunning nine-darter to upset Gerwyn Price in PDC Home Tour darts

World no. 57 Luke Woodhouse hit a stunning nine-darter as he upset Gerwyn Price on the second night of the PDC’s Home Tour darts series.

The Englishman won all three of his matches in Group B, also seeing off compatriot Ted Evetts and Austria’s John-Rowby Rodriguez to top the standings.

But it was a brilliant 5-0 routing of world no.3 Price that proved the highlight of the stay-at-home tournament so far, the fourth leg secured with nine perfect arrows, scoring 177 – 177 – 147.

You can check out exactly how he did it below:

The tournament, sponsored by Unibet, sees 128 leading players compete from the comfort of their own homes around the world and will run for 32 consecutive nights, with organisers hoping it will provide some relief for sports-starved fans during the coronavirus pandemic.

It was the second day in a row in which viewers witnessed a significant upset, with defending world champion Peter Wright – sporting a multi-coloured mohican with an accompanying blue heart in tribute to the NHS – was beaten by Welshman Jamie Lewis.

Thankfully, there were few signs of the technical difficulties which plagued the opening night of the tournament.
