WATCH: Lonzo Ball works on midrange jumper in new workout video

Since entering the league in 2017, the biggest question surrounding Lonzo Ball has been whether or not he can be capable scorer in the NBA with his unorthodox jumpshot. So far, the answer to that question has been a resounding no, but it looks like he’s made an effort to diversify his offense in the offseason.

On Sunday, Pro’s Vision posted a video of Ball working out and he showed off an array of moves from the midrange, including hook shots and different variations of floaters.

Having a few moves to go to in the post or midrange in addition to the 3-ball is going to be crucial to Ball’s development on offense. Last season, Ball made a lowly 37.5 percent of his wide-open 2-point attempts from more than 10 feet out, according to NBA.com. For context, his former Lakers teammate Kyle Kuzma made 41.2 percent.

While Ball doesn’t need to be a go-to scorer to be an impactful player, it certainly wouldn’t hurt his ceiling if he became more of a reliable threat on offense. Hopefully he starts taking steps in the right direction next season.
