For the fans eagerly awaiting lobs from Lonzo Ball to Zion Williamson, day two marks their wishes being met. The Pelicans posted a video to Twitter from Tuesday’s training camp with the team working on out-of-bounds plays and various end-game scenarios.
In the clip, Ball is the in-bounder and lobs a pass up to Williamson near the rim. While Ball has gained a warranted reputation for his superb passing, this particular in-bound was not on-target as he hit the backboard. Williamson, though, bailed out his teammate with a dunk that left the gym rocking.
On top of being the first of many Ball-to-Williamson alley-oops this upcoming season, it’s also one of many times Williamson will leave his fellow players in awe. In the clip, Williamson doesn’t have a great run up and the pass is off-target but he still reels it in and slams it home.
Williamson will make a habit of wowing fans this season. Hopefully, Ball is on the sending end of many of the lobs and passes that will wow fans.
