Lonzo Ball struggled to shoot the ball once again in his debut for the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, but he was still able to make an impact offensively in spite of that because of his elite court vision.
Not only did Ball dish out five assists while turning the ball over just once, but he had the NBA’s assist of the night on Tuesday. In the second quarter against the Toronto Raptors, Ball made a crafty inside-out pass of the dribble that Jrue Holiday was able to finish with some tough defense at the rim.
Ball was also a threat from behind the 3-point line, making two of his three attempts from behind the arc. He finish the game with eight points on 2-7 shooting from the field.
While Ball figures out how to be more of a scoring threat, he’ll continue to get minutes because of hsis playmaking ability and defense.
