WATCH: Lonzo Ball celebrates birthday with Taylor Swift’s ’22’

Lonzo Ball blew out the candles on his 22nd birthday cake on Sunday and what’s a 22nd birthday celebration without Taylor Swift?

Ball posted a video on Instagram story of him lip syncing along to “22” by Taylor Swift because why wouldn’t he? There might be other songs about turning 22 years old, but none better than Swift’s single, which went triple platinum.

At 22 years old, Ball is the fifth-oldest player on the New Orleans Pelicans, ahead of rookies Zion Williamson, Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and third-year guard Frank Jackson. The next oldest player on the team is Brandon Ingram, who is a month older than Ball.

Ball might exiting the “young core” age, but he’s still very much raw as a prospect. Through his first two seasons in the NBA, Ball played less than 100 games. He also spent his first two summers as an NBA player rehabbing.

Here’s to hoping 22 is the best year for Ball yet, both professionally and personally.
