Watch LNER worker's 'brilliant' parody of Celine Dion's All By Myself to cheer up colleagues

With trains mostly empty as commuters stay at home during the coronavirus outbreak, LNER worker Davey Glover found the words of Celine Dion hit All By Myself going through his head as he patrolled the vacant carriages.

So he decided to make a parody of the song to cheer up his colleagues - with the resulting video certainly doing the trick.

Worker Davey - who on days off from his role as train manager with London North Eastern Railway also works as a NHS volunteer - is seen in the video lip-synching to the track as different scenes show him in deserted carriages of the train and alone on a station platform.

The footage is now cheering up viewers on YouTube too, with people commenting "brilliant" and "fantastic" and one woman writing: "I could watch it again, because All By Myself is my favourite song by Celine Dion and LNER is my favourite train company."

Davey, who admits his own singing voice is "not the best", said he decided to lip-synch to Dion to "put a smile on my colleagues' faces" and those of anybody else who wanted to watch.

Of his day job which takes him between London King’s Cross, Yorkshire and the North East, he said trains are much quieter than usual.

And he added: "We're trying to keep key workers moving to where they need to be and also to put across the message it's essential travel to passengers who don't need to be on the go."

He said he has volunteered as a delivery driver for the NHS BloodFast service for the past few years and has had a busy time of late with jobs, besides transporting blood samples, also incuding having to deliver essential baby milk.
