Watch Liverpool drug lord squirm wrapped in a blue blanket as he is quizzed by police

This is the moment Liverpool drug lord Paul Prescott squirms as he is quizzed by police.

Prescott, from Huyton , Liverpool, will feature in Watch Liverpool drug lord taken down at airport as he tries to skip the country being questioned shortly after his arrest at Manchester Airport.

The 55-year-old was tracked to the airport trying to flee the country to Spain after police found evidence of his involvement in a £3million conspiracy to flood the UK with Class A and Class B drugs.

Following the find in a warehouse, Prescott became Bedfordshire's most wanted criminal and here in this exclusive clip from tonight's show, you can watch him come under pressure when faced with conclusive evidence.

Wrapped in a blue blanket, Prescott shakes his head in disbelief as the detective presents him with forensic evidence that links him to the drugs haul.

DC Scott Hannam grills Prescott (Channel 4)

DC Scott Hannam tells him: "You have a previous conviction from 2006 for supplying controlled drugs, is that correct?

"And that's Class A cocaine, Class B amphetamine. And for that, you received eight years imprisonment.

"It is no coincidence, Mr Prescott is it, that you're again involved in the supply of Class A and B drugs.

"And the reason I say that is because you have been forensically linked to the drugs themselves, And I am sure you will be intrigued to know where and how."

Damning evidence

Prescott says nothing, still swaddled in the cloth, blinking at the officer.

DC Hannam revealed the devastating evidence: "Your blood was found on the bag inside a crate that contain cannabis.

"Do you have any explanation at all as to how your blood ended up inside a crate that has come from abroad and ended up in England?"

Despite there being no way out, Prescott still refuses to say anything just shaking his head.

DC Hannam then shows Prescott images of the drugs 'in case he didn't believe him'.

Pointing to the photographic evidence, Hannam tells him: "This was one of the bags of cannabis, and your blood or what turned out to be your blood was found here.

"You've cut yourself and bled on to this bag, how are you able to explain that?"

Prescott stares blankly at the damning evidence and says: "no comment".

DC Hannam tells him the blood links him directly to the drugs unless he has a plausible explanation.

Prescott, at this point, must be aware of how conclusive the forensics are, sighs and throws down his glasses on the table.

Probing for answers, DC Hannam asks him: "Did you package the cannabis into this bag? Or was it already packaged and you've packaged it then into the crates?"

Prescott sits silently while DC Hannam adds: "At the end of the day Mr Prescott, that is your blood and I am asking you to account for it.

"Do you have any comment that you wish to make at this time?"

Obviously realising the gravity of the situation and the DNA trail linking him to the massive drugs haul, Prescott says: "I want to speak to him [motioning to his solicitor]."

Paul Prescott was jailed for 26 months for conspiracy to supply (Bedfordshire Police)

In September 2017, Prescott was sentenced to 26 months in prison at Luton Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply herbal cannabis.

*You can watch what happens next and how the police bring him to justice in tonight's episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody on Channel 4 at 9pm.
