International karting drivers are in action today, Saturday 5 July, for the second round of the WSK Euro Series – the decisive event which will crown champions in the OK, OKJ, OK-N, OK-N Junior, MINI Gr.3, and MINI U10 categories.
Drivers from 53 countries
The atmosphere on track is already red-hot, and the presence of drivers from 53 different countries across all five continents is a clear sign of the expectations for this event as it approaches the Final and decisive round of the Euro Series.
WSK Promotion has always been committed to offering the opportunity to race and grow in a competitive and high-level environment, and on this occasion too, the participation of so many international teams is an important recognition for the entire organizational machine, ready for another spectacular weekend in Cremona, where the fight for the titles will surely be open until the very last corner.
Excellent participation in all categories
In Cremona, the entry list is also particularly numerous and of excellent quality in all categories, from the MINI reserved to youngsters, to OK-N Junior, and OKJ, to the higher-performing OK-N and OK. As usual, the remarkable participation of the very young MINI drivers stands out, with 90 drivers aged from 8 to 11 in both Under 10 and Gr.3, coming from as many as 39 Nations. This is an important figure that identifies this international series globally and highlights its great appeal for the training path of new talents, as can be seen from its rich hall of fame, which has featured drivers who have gone on to compete in motorsport up to Formula 1 since 2010.
The challenge to the winners of the first round in Viterbo is already open
Last May saw the exciting opening round in Viterbo, with hard-fought races in all six categories, and a podium represented by drivers from as many as 12 nations. In the last event, the final winners were the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport) in OK, the Briton Domain Henry (Forza Racing) in OKJ, the Italian Manuel Scognamiglio (Tellone Motorsport) in OK-N, the Chinese Huifei Xie (Team Driver) in OK-NJ, the Swede Elton Hedfors (Parolin Motorsport) in MINI Gr.3, and the Caribbean Wynn Godschalk (Team Kidix) in MINI U10.
