Watch: Lions release ‘Inside the Den’ Episode 5, against the Bills

The Detroit Lions have released their fifth episode of “Inside the Den: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions”, featuring the team hosting the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 of the preseason.

This week’s episode opens with the Damon Harrison extension and a video montage of him working during practice to some menacing background music.

Next, we get our first interview with Matthew Stafford, followed by Quandre Diggs, and Graham Glasgow, with the returners discussing practicing with new teammates, joint practices and the advantages of being in coach Matt Patricia’s training camp for a second season. We also get a perspective from newcomers like second-round linebacker Jahlani Tavai and Trey Flowers.

Cut to general manager Bob Quinn who explains what he is looking for in players as we head towards cut day (Saturday at 4:00 om EST) including younger players stepping up their development and non-starters needing special teams to make not only the 53-man roster but the 46-man roster on Game Days.

Just ahead of the seven-minute mark, the players made their way to Ford Field for a Week 3 preseason matchup with the Buffalo Bills. One thing that stood out was during the pre-game huddles, we saw team speeches from Stafford, Diggs, C.J. Anderson, Taylor Decker and Tracy Walker — who was by far the youngest player shown hyping up teammates.

Game highlights include two forced fumbles and recoveries, a Ty Johnson touchdown catch from Stafford, Anderson’s monster stiff arm, Matt Prater’s 61-yard field goal, and Mark Thompson’s rushing touchdown.

They wrap up with player’s thoughts on the NFL being in its 100th year and what it’s like playing in front of the Detroit Lions fanbase.
