Watch Line of Duty season 6 trailer - it will get your heart racing

If you are counting down the hours to the new series of Line of Duty, then hold tight. This BBC trailer will have you on the edge of your seat.

The first episode of season six of the now cult British police drama airs on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 9pm on BBC One and can also be seen on BBC iPlayer.

"Lies cost lives", we are teased in the just over a minute long trailer, which manages to pack in the tension.

Starring Nottingham's own Vicky McClure as DI Kate Fleming alongside Martin Compston as DS Steve Arnott and Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings, the new series kicks off a year-and-a-half after the events of the fifth season, and the anti-corruption unit AC-12 have a new recruit - DC Chloe Bishop, played by Shalom Brune-Franklin.

The trailer picks up the action and trademark intrigue straight away.

"When did we stop caring about honesty and integrity?" Hastings says, and then comes the cliff-hanger.

Another voice: "Do you believe there is still a fourth man out there?" The answer comes from DS Arnott: "Man or woman".
