Watch 'legendary' driving instructor save toddler wandering into busy main road

A man in Belfast has been described as "legendary" after he saved a child who had wandered into a busy main road.

Aaron Galway, a driving instructor, spotted the unsupervised child running into the road and decided to act quickly and swiftly to prevent a terrible accident.

He left the car he was teaching in and sprinted to stop the child, picking them up and carrying them to the side of the road, reports Belfast Live.

His actions have been heralded as heroic, but it was all part of the job for Aaron.

He told Belfast Live: "We spotted this wee one while on a lesson. I was just doing my job and being vigilant on the roads."

People have been hailing Aaron for his actions, with one posting: "That's legendary stuff, well done!"

Another wrote: "Oh my goodness. That made my blood run cold. Thank god you saved this child. Not all heroes wear capes."

Video footage shows the toddler walking out onto the busy road yesterday.
