Watch Leeds United legend Chris Kamara team up with Roy Wood to sing unbelievable Christmas classic

Have a watch of Leeds United legend Chris Kamara teaming up with Roy Wood for a Christmas classic.

Former Leeds United Kammy, 62, who has become a popular TV personality since hanging up his boots, is releasing a festive album this Christmas and he’s released a single from it - as a teaser.

The single is a big band version  of Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday which even features Roy Wood. You can watch the video for the song at the top of this article.

Kammy said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to share the first taste of music from my new album. We arranged this version of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and asked Roy’s blessing to cover the track in this way – not only did he give it, but he asked to sing on it too. What an Unbelievable honour.”

The track is the first taste of music from Kammy’s second album ‘… And A Happy New Year’ which will be released on Friday, December 4.

Kammy’s new album …And A Happy New Year continues his swing and big band sound, featuring festive favourites such as White Christmas, In The Bleak Midwinter and Blue Christmas.

The album will also feature two brand new tracks Mr Claus and Happy New Year, written for Kammy by Richard Scott and Kelvin Andrews, who have also written for Robbie Williams amongst others.

Kammy, who is aiming to be the king of Christmas 2020, was born on Christmas Day. As well as pursuing a singing career, Kammy, is a TV host and a football pundit.
