Watch Leeds man eat entire jar of MARMITE in Facebook charity stunt

Leeds man Ed Morris has certainly been keeping busy during lockdown. While many people will have been 'trying new things' in the confines of their own home, Ed has taken it to a whole new level.

The 43-year-old is taking on a host of challenges, broadcasting them live on Facebook, and all in the name of charity.

He's worn 100 layers of clothing, visited his local supermarket dressed as a woman and in full face of makeup, and even ate an entire jar of MARMITE! Urgh!

Ed's friends and family are the ones coming up with suggestions, and he's had no regrets just yet.

Ed, who lives in Garforth, said: “I didn’t think I’d be given some of the challenges I’ve had.

“I should have realised from my first day that anything was a possibility. On the first day, I was challenged to do a blind food taste test. Six items of food were picked, the first one was a pickle, the second one was a shot of vinegar, the third one was cat food and I just swallowed it.

"I also had a drink of cat milk, a spoonful of mustard and a spoonful of gravy granules.

“I’d never done a Facebook Live before and it’s a new thing to me and if people see it and it makes them laugh or smile that’s why I do it. If people are having a bad day and if this makes them laugh then it’s worth it.

“My attitude to life is that life is too short. I’m working from home at the moment, I’m used to seeing people face to face. I’m sat on the laptop and sat at home working, I find it really hard so it’s helping me as well.”

Ed, whohas already raised over £1,000 for the National Emergencies Trust's Corornavirus Appeal, has said he will do each challenge as best as he can but he has only two rules - no nudity and nothing illegal.

People who want to challenge Ed can donate as much they can afford and he will try his best to complete the challenge.

You can watch Ed take part in the challenges on his fundraising page during the week at 6pm and at midday and 6pm on the weekend.

The support worker for Leeds City Council added: “I’ve got eight or nine more challenges to do but I’ve got people thinking of what to do. I don’t mind doing something I’ve done before.

“These challenges have done a lot for me really I worked in mental health for a few years and mental health is really important to me.”
