LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers looked to be suffering from a case of the Beale Street blues during the first quarter of Monday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. So much for not looking past anybody.
As has become the norm for the Lakers recently, the team struggled while LeBron James piled up his usual stats. James became the first player in NBA history to rank in the top-10 in both points and assists. LeBron connected with Kyle Kuzma on a beautiful pick-and-roll to notch the milestone assist.
Kuzma being on the receiving end of LeBron’s milestone assist is symbolic of the Lakers’ season, as the second-year forward is the young Laker who has developed the most chemistry with LeBron.
