LeBron James and the Lakers are in a bad way, having lost four of their last five games, with only one of those losses coming to a winning team.
Ever since their encouraging win over the Houston Rockets coming out of the All-Star break, things went south quickly. And while LeBron James is still putting up big numbers and making big plays, his efforts have been unable to lift the Lakers out of their current quagmire.
And while it’s ultimately a silly video, the Lakers current struggles may not have a better metaphor than this recently viral video from last week’s loss at Memphis. The video shows LeBron James with two basketballs, trying to bounce one of them over the Lakers broadcast crew doing their pregame standup on the court. Except the attempt hits one of the lights needed by the broadcast crew, sending it to the ground.
Yeah, things have been rough for the Lakers and it didn’t just start with Saturday night’s loss to Phoenix.
